Moving Forward

Moving Forward

Its been a while since our last blog update, but you can now look forward to a new one every Tuesday! A lot has happened since our last update….so here goes.

We have met (and exceeded) our funding goals for the Iraq project, and just this week purchased our plane tickets. We will be headed out of the country April 23rd! So, with just under a month before we leave the country, we as a team are focusing on preparing ourselves for what lies ahead. We ultimately have everything in order for when we hit the ground in Iraq, but there are a few things we’d like to have in line before we go. That being said, we are still in need of a few laptops for the school. If you, or anyone you know, has an old one that you can donate, that would be greatly appreciated.

On a side note, Dylan and Koleton had a successful and favorable visit to Uganda over Spring Break. They were able to gather plenty of prime footage, including an interview with Uganda’s Vice President, for an up-coming film on our project there. Dylan is busy at work squeezing those hours of footage together into a short film for us, and we’ll have it ready to show in the coming months!

As a team, we are über excited to get going, and to put to action the vision we have set before us. Thank you all so much for support in helping us get to this point! Thanks to you, we’ll be affecting the lives of those affected by the war in Iraq and providing for them hope for a better future.

That’s all for this week. Thanks for reading!
